One of the challenges that I see so often among agents is that they lose that all-important factor of ‘clarity’ of their vision amidst the challenges and busyness of the day to day routine. It is essential for us to reconnect with those rewards each and every day and to use that time to remind yourself of the enormous value of taking the actions that are required on a consistent basis.

If our business can be likened to a tree that we’ve planted and are tending to carefully, our goals are like the flowering blossoms of that tree. They’re the tangible, ‘pretty-to-the-eye’ result that everyone looks for initially. Even more important though is the fruit that ultimately grows out of those blossoms—these are our rewards, the thing that we are truly working so hard for. Is the commitment to having the fruit strong enough to keep you mulching, watering, and pruning that tree even when the sun is hot on your back or the rains threaten to drench you completely?

Bearing tangible fruit in this life was never promised to be an easy task or a get rich quick venture. You have to remain patient, put up with what has been called tedious monotony, and keep reminding yourself of the long-term benefits. Does this describe your attitude, approach, and expectation toward your business?

Go after your harvest with zeal … enjoy the process of tending your business in the meantime … and never forget how excited you were the day you planted your tree. Today is one more step in the process of bringing your vision to life—be sure that you’re doing ALL you can to make it count!
