Good morning, amazing prospectors and businesspeople! Here we are again—another new day… another big dose of opportunity in your business. Opportunities, like moments of time, usually only come to you once, so make sure that you are prepared to make the most of both!

Recently, I commented to a great group of agents that I was speaking to that for most of us we find ourselves at one place on the production curve, and yet we are striving to get to a higher level. Sounds pretty bland—what’s the point? The fact that NOW is the time to begin acting and thinking like the agents who are at that higher level. The longer we spend behaving at our current level, the longer we will spend producing at our current level, which almost no one says they want to do.

There are a number of traits, attitudes, and behaviors that the most successful agents seem to have in common … one that is often overlooked is the word ‘hope’. It’s been said that hope is the only emotion stronger than fear. The reality is that for most agents, in fact most ~people~, they spend a huge amount of time operating out of a mindset of fear—fear about EVERYTHING! What if this person gets mad at me for calling? What if I don’t know what to say? What if I can’t get the listing sold once I take it? What if they hit me with an objection that I don’t know the answer to and I look foolish? What if they ask me how many homes I’ve sold on their street? What if I can’t afford that assistant after I’ve committed to hiring them?

I’ve come to realize that almost every issue that holds agents back and stops them from doing what they need to do is fear-based.

Contrast that with hope. One of the most awesome characteristics that I notice over and over again is that these agents who tend to achieve so much rarely allow the fear of the ‘what if’ to stop them from just taking action! They’re risk-takers … and because of it, they become rain-makers! My belief is that we have no right NOT to have hope because none of us can know the future. We can never know for sure that something isn’t going to work out, or that we’re going to fail at what we attempt. Therefore, there is ALWAYS hope … always the chance for success!

These great agents that walk among us—many of YOU, in fact-realize this and DO something based on it each and every day. If you want to start thinking and acting like the agents who are at the next level of production, stop allowing the fear of the unknown, the ‘what-if’, to keep you from just simply stepping boldly forward onto that higher ground.

Fear comes to all of us, and does not yield its place just because we will it to or wish it would. It DOES, however, yield to hope-filled action. Take the first step today in transforming who you are and where your business is at. There is always hope … and today is the day to make it count.
