Good morning, superstar prospectors and exceptional businesspeople! It’s another exciting day in your business as the year continues to roll on… How are you doing month to date compared to the goals that you had as you began the year? Have you prospected the number of days you had said you would so far… reached the number of people you said you’d reach… set the number of appointments or taken the number of listings you had committed to taking?

The first step is to make sure you know where you are in relation to your goals. If you are behind, the next step is to decide what has to be done to get back on track immediately! Over the years, myself and several other coaches that I know and have worked with have looked at an interesting fact. If an agent is behind on their numbers/production goals at the end of the 1st quarter… there is a 90%+ chance that they will never end up reaching their yearly target. 90% or more!!

The problem for many of us in life is that ‘playing catch up’ never quite seems to work the way we think it will. What this means is that we have to make one of our accountabilities to ourselves this year be that we will not accept excuses or try to justify falling behind.

So make time today, mid-month, and look at where you REALLY are so far in 2015. There is still plenty of time left this month to get focused, hit your numbers, take all the listings you had said you would take to start off the year strong, and get some properties under agreement. But you truly have to want it. As Les Brown loves to say, ‘you gotta be hungry!’.
